COOKING VLOG
COVID-19 is coming back. The situation is not entirely pleasing yet. SO now, we are assigned to do something excited to chill a little bit. Cooking. Today, in creative writing class, I am going to cook something special, "Shrimp Fried Rice" with my video and blog.

To commence with, the main reason I chose this dish is that I like to eat shrimp and I suck at cooking like really suck. I don't usually cook, so that is the reason why I chose Shrimp Fried Rice as it is the easiest thing on Earth and the only thing I can cook.
As I said, I suck at cooking. I think I have only cooked like twice since I was born and this dish is my third time cooking in my life. I knew some ingredients like what it's called, what it looks like, or its color. Like salt or sugar, I have to say that I have no idea which one is which, so the only way I can know it is to ask my mom or taste it. When I needed to gather my ingredients, there were many things; I went downstairs and told my mom, I need this this and this, which I took the information from the internet. And my mom bought it in the morning for my cooking.
This is my first try cooking shrimp-fried rice. At first, I wanted to cook like cup noodles, but I think it's a little bit too uh, you know, like too childish. So I chose something that I'd never cooked before (in my life), and I decided to cook fried rice but then I realized I didn't know how to cook so how can I supposed to cook then. I asked my mom for help if I got lost or couldn't remember the recipes. I needed to say that my mom has cooked this dish for our family before, so it would be much easier if my mom could help me. (giving credits to my mom too).
Now, let's move on to what really happened during the cooking. I only had 40 minutes in this class to cook, so I was rushed, but then when I walked down to the kitchen, my helper (my mom and my housemaid) did not yet finish preparing the ingredients, so I helped them a little bit: the carrot were not entirely in a perfect, square, diced, and the shrimp head weren’t peeled off. I peeled off the shrimp head. They were crying. I know. Their head was gone. Into the bin beside me. Bye-bye.
Then, we are now ready to cook. And as I said, this is my third time cooking in my life. There was a lot of trouble throughout the video that I didn’t show to you guys. Yes. Firstly, I was confused about when to pour down the egg, so I stopped at some parts at the beginning of the video and then asked my mom. Then, it was not all yet. When I was about to pour down the sauce, there was a little confusion about which sauce was because the color was all the same. But then I realized it is the same because we need to mix them anyway. It was not done yet. I was so scared of the oil, so it stuck in the bowl when I poured down the Kale, and I struggled to get it down.
As you watch the video, you may notice that only my hands are shown throughout the entire video. This is because my mom, who guided my what to do, is recording me on the left side, and my housemaid is recording me on the right side. In other words, I was stuck there, alone, in the middle of shrimps.
At last, It was done. It was very delicious. I think. My dad said that it was good, I guess. The dish was completely done. But the process was not done yet. Yes. We still have to edit the video from the footage I’ve recorded. And there was another problem coming up. I only have 2 footage. Only 2. So you may notice that there were only two directions and the place of the camera because we have only 2 people to record it.
Now, let’s begin talking about the editing process. I am a person who likes to edit videos like chemistry or social videos; I think the results came out very well and I'm pretty satisfied with my requirement of editing. By the way, I also include the behind-the-scenes of both cooking and editing in case you guys want to see them. I think editing is quite complex for me. I usually use the “Filmora X” application on the computer, but this time, I decided to use Cap cut (in iPhone), which I’ve used twice already. There was a little bit of trouble editing because I needed to download the song from youtube on my computer, airdrop it to my phone, and add it to the video. WASTE OF TIME. But the result is quite good, I think.
I hope you guys enjoy the videos that I made by myself.
